Why do the videos on my iPod Classic start from the middle and not the start?

Everytime I want to play a video on my iPod Classic, it starts maybe 40seconds in.. its really annoying. It used to be ok, but for some reason it changed.

1. try restarting your ipod classic, I think if you hold down the central button and the menu button until the screen goes blank. Then the apple logo should show up. Then try the video function again.
2. If you start looking at a video or movie, then say halfway through you go to something else, the iPod will 'remember' where you stopped it. It doesn't matter if its a week or 2 months later when you view the video/movie again, it will resume where you stopped it before. Other than that, you could delete all the songs off of your iPod then put them back on your iPod. Resetting it might help, I kinda doubt it but you can try, reset it by holding down the Menu and the Select (center button) for 6-10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
