If I was to get an unlocked Iphone 3g, would it work with my t-mobile plan?

I want to get an i phone 3g because its soo cheap, but i am currently on a t-mobile plan. If I get the iphone 3g unlocked would it work could i still use t-mobile if i put my sim card in it?

At this time the 3g isn't unlockable and can only be used with AT&T. Give it a few weeks and see if someone unlocks it like that did 1st gen, though. You can get the 3g as a Go but only if you pay full price (it's not subsidized).
you cannot unlock the 3g iphone. u can unlock the 1st generation iphone with tmobile though. i have one unlocked with tmobile. even if u could unlock the 3g iphone, it would be almost pointless. the big thing with the 3g iphone is the 3g technology, which makes it fast (internet), and tmobile doesn't have that..so u wouldn't get it. and u hafta activate the 3g iphone in store with at&t, and if u don't, the cheapest one to buy it outright is $599. you can get the 1st generation iphone though. they no longer sell it in stores, so if u got it, u would hafta get it off craigslist.org or ebay. i hope that helps & if you have any other questions about it, feel free to email me.
