if buying a vodafone iphone 3g do u need a simcard for it to work?

i wanna buy a vodafone iphone 3g and i have a att&t simcard do vodafone iphone work with a sim card only or no?

1. no, you need to unlock your iphone plus, vodaphone is a partner of verizon in the u.s so it would make sense that it wouldnt
2. obviously yes you would buy a sim card !! if you have not a sim card you cannot connect or send sms`s or call

4. Before you buy, you should read the world first review by Gossip Girl. She reveals so many secrets that Gizmodo and CNET didn't dare mention. Check it out before you buy, it may change your mind. There are no more secrets... Don't thank me, thank Gossip Girl.

Well u will definitely need a simcard for it to work (as in to make calls, and send txt and so on...) unless u're just looking to use the features like touch screen, mp3 player and stuffs like that then u should go for the ipod touch instead.. but buying iphone 3G would require activation instore straight away... so i think vodafone iphone 3G will only work on vodafone network :)
6. In Australia I highly think that you need a Vodafone simcard. It depends if ATT&T is a phone service. I've heard of them but never knew they do simcards.
