Can I activate an iPhone 3G on my home computer, or can I do it on my office computer?

I just got a new 3G iPhone on O2 (UK) and am at work. I'd like to activate it now so that I can use it this afternoon. However, I'm wondering if there will be any disadvantages to activating it on my office computer and if I should just wait until I get home this evening?

1. You can activate it via iTunes over your computer like the original iPhone. Just follow the instructions.
