Can somebody please answer my question about the new iPhone 3g?

ok so i have an iphone (the old one) and i want the new 3G one now! i promised my sister i would give her my old iphone once i got the 3g one. but how will she be able to use my current iphone without hacking it?

1. I think this is true, but I'm not 100% sure. Once you activate the new iPhone, your old iPhone should become inactive. I think all she would need to do is plug it in to iTunes and then activate it. She'll probably have to subscribe to the 2 year plan.

3. iphones have sim cards at the top, i think you can switch them not sure. i was reading and the new iphone must be activated at the at&t store(to prevent unlocking it) and it said that the 2 year contract must be up, but thats dumb because the phone hasnt even been out 2 years. so idk. once you activate it it will deacrtivate the old one.
4. 1) Take your iPhone to the AT&T store when you buy your new iPhone 3G 2) Have them transfer your data from your old iPhone to new iPhone 3) Have them erase all the data from your old iPhone 4) Give your old iPhone to your sister for her use!
5. You can switch the sim card for any card like a t mobile or sprint sim card.You can even use a prepaid simcard and it will work.This is for the old iphone not sure about the 3g one.
6. All you have to do, since you're with Cingular, is just put her SIM card into your old iPhone. Everything will transfer from her old phone to your current iPhone. She may have to still activate it via iTunes, but she will not have to hack yours.
7. I think the best idea is to take your old iPhone to your local iphone dealer and let them replace the settings to your new 3G iPhone. But your sister will still have to activate it via iTunes.
